http://www.potfire.com.au/rlist/r20742.htm SMLE $300. Snap it up now Mossy before I go for it. Honestly don't know how much 303 ammo would be here.
Ive been looking at this nugget, should be a good starting rifle or the K98. http://www.cleaverfirearms.com/Ex%20Military.htm
>>1110 That much for a bubba'd enfield? lolno Maybe if it was 250 and at my local gunstore ready for me to pick up. As per ammo the only way ausfags could afford it would be to reload, none of this bulk shit the Amerifags get. >>1116 >$395 nugget >$749 k98 LOLWUT Seriously guys, your very first rifle should be a .22LR. Then get your first centrefire after you learn how to shoot/handle firearms competently, by then you will know what is a good deal and what isn't.
>>1110 mhmmm moist nugget

>>1113 with the yanks taking their place I doubt it. Unless the yanks put pressure on the government to deploy additional assets.
>>1114 The USA need all the help they can get. Would not be surprised if they had asked already. I just want to see Tigers in action. One of the few unretarded things the ADF has got their hands on.
>>1113 They wont. Deploying Tigers is a very significant thing to do - not only do you deploy the aircraft and pilots but then you need to start sending over groundcrew, increasing logistics, and all the little tiny things you need when operating aircraft that end up adding up to be quite a lot. Also, the price would be quite costly. Sending over fighters would be what I have said above x10. Also the simple fact that a troop increase would be political suicide as 50% of Australians want us out of there.
Vic police lower the fitness level and more then likely the entry exam aswell. Feels good man. Fucking cake walk.
>>1057 >SERT is Victoria's equivalent of SOG's No, SOG is Victoria's equivalent of SOG. I think you've used the wrong state there.

my Crazy bitch ex gf had a motherfucking champion of a moodswing today, and started screaming at me and telling me to get out of her house. i genuinely did nothing wrong, she just had a fucking snap all of a sudden about nothing. she picked up a knife and ran at me, i panicked and put both my thumbs in her eyes. police were involved, i got off because of being attacked with knife, and she will never see again. 4 years of krav maga = my thumbs>10 inch cooking knife. i fucking love you mr paradox. inb4 mossy

>>1020 Bogged twice, couldn't get the ute out the second time. Spotlight went flat. Car battery went flat. Winged a fox and couldn't find it. Flat tire on the quad. etc. etc. Overall it was a good trip though, I guess.
>>1021 Shit, once it starts going wrong, it keeps going wrong.
Testing a new trip
Need to get a back pack and I figured you turds would be the best people to talk to about it. Keep in mind this is just for carting cloths around and not for actually backpacking or hiking, if it was I would be spending money in the triple digits. I was having a look in Aussie Disposals today and this one caught my eye. I can get it cheaper because my work supplies them(we do not have backpacks at my work however) and a guy should be able to cut a deal.
>>1031 If I get it from Aussies I can get a rather large discount. I just hope it is not some kind of sale because I should be able to get it for 25 bucks if it all works out.
>>1032 Thats pretty sweet. Get that one then.
Going to ask about it Monday then. Grabbing it because I have a huge duffel bag right now from work that is not great to cart around on public transport.
You guys reckon the US and or Israel will have a crack at Iran ?
>>923 That is pretty much it, but we maintain alot of shit. I get a TAFE Cert III in Electronics and Communications as well which may come in handy if I chose to leave the RAN/
>>930 well then in response to your question what would i be doing in a war, i would be defending the ship from incoming missile's, planes and subs so you have a chance to let off a harpoon.
I don't think they've done enough for the USA to have a crack at Iran. I mean, they haven't invaded anyone and I'm not sure the USA want another mess in the Middle East. Plus, they should already know if they want to take over a nation, they have to win over the people and there is a pretty strong anti-American sentiment in Iran.

Hello ausfags of /adv/(and possibly others), I'm looking for advice on joining the defence force. I'm a 20yr old overweight male who has only completed his yr 10, I have a diploma in Web Design and previous experience in running my own business/2yrs experience as an I.T technician. What are my chances of getting a decent job in either the Airforce, Army or Navy? How do i go about it, what is involved?
>>946 Im sure Cliff, Fail, and NAVY could help you out better then I can with RAN jobs. But go on the DefenceJobs website and have a look. But off the top of my head you could apply for Acoustic Warfare Analyst Combat Systems Operator Communication and Information Systems (both Salior and Submariner)
thanks for all the help, it's much appreciated.
Late advice from my awesome self. You'll be fine even if you never completed years 11 and 12. Your experience on the job will make up for it. You wont be able to apply for an Officer position though. In the army positions suited to you would be in the Signals Corp - I'd recommend Information Systems Technician, but Electronic Warfare Operator is also an area I.T lads go into. Just note that if you enter as an Electronic Warfare Operator you'll need to go through a fairly extensive security clearance from what I've heard. DefenceJobs.gov.au has all the info you need on jobs and joining. I don't like using the hotline too much because it comes back to bite you when in an interview they ask "oh, so you've also called about this and this and this job".
