Hey /mil/ Sorry about the tripcode but my laptop died today. I don't know my custom tripcode off by heart so here we are.. Anywho, decided to head back to the gold coast for the day today, went to southport yacht club where HMAS Bundaberg (Armidale) was doing an Open Day. Anyway, what a beautiful ship, inside and out. Did various things, held an F88, F89 and Browning HP. The Steyr is very aesthetically pleasing, light, comfortable and all round feels good. F89 minimi is a bloody bitch, heavy as fuck. Browning HP is actually heavier than expected. Not loaded. But it's very comfortable to carry. Message too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>961 Look into a TOZ-82 or whatever they are called. Good ol' rusky engineering right thar. That or a SMLE.
>>963 Yeah SMLE or a Mauser 98. I'll check that one out. Russians make good stuff.
>>964 >SMLE Do it.

>>955 Hell yeah I did. Plus I was going in to the armored corps. Wouldnt of done much walking.
>>956 Well I have the chance to lob 127MM projectiles at objects or launch missiles.
>>958 Nice !
ok /mil/ what do you think of the Canberra Class LHD's and the Hobart Class Destroyers. Should we get more and what are your thought's on the armament of the LHD's
>>824 I've miss heard then. That does make far more sense though. Although still isn't enough.
>>825 Nowhere near enough. They don't need offensive just defensive. A couple CIWS would do help alot and if they wanted to make sure they could add some ESSMs as well for AA. Naval targets would taken out by the RAN. If there are no RAN vessels near it it would likely be destroyed anyway so anti ship missiles are not really needed.
>>826 the typhoons are a good start but, they seriously need to consider putting some kind of defensive armament. at the very least some CIWS's to take out any missiles that dont get taken out by the escorts. the government should listen the the navy more often
Leclerc anyone ?
>>627 Not a Shilka, One above is a Gepard Plus, all MBT's have NBC protection. Gotta trust the equipment right? . .
>>627 I see your Minuteman III MIRV ICBM and raise you the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System.
>>808 Don't get to close to Iranian airports with that though.
I got in my dear chums. Picture is what came up when I looked up glorious day. So fucking happy right now.
>>800 DFR Branch? the one in Brisbane City.
>>802 Damn. I thought you were a guy that went to the same Assessment day as me. What are you appealing?
>>803 im appealing the medically unfit class 4 tag they pinned on me lol, because i take some medication they were worried they wouldnt be able to resupply me, but that was for the army so im gonna change to the navy where that shouldnt be a problem
Our navy should get some of the F-35's coming.
>>738 yeah well our F-35's will be almost identical to the US ones then. considering we use most of their tech.
I dont see what the big deal about the F35 is. Its worse than gen 4 aircraft and like 5 times the price :S
>>67 PAK-FA will probably be cheaper.
EDC Thread. Pic related.
>>778 Still looked like a SIG.
>>787 Not really, lol.
Holy fuck I want a deagle
Fuck this shit ! Im moving to Canada.
i take it u dont like gillard chancer?
>>790 I dont really like the Labor party in general. I mean I cant doubt that they have done well tho.
>>792 true well i doubt she is going to change much.
Does anyone have any idea when the ADF will be taking full time Combat Engineers and Riflemen? I'm getting sick of fucking waiting.
>>788 >Combat Engineers and Riflemen You have picked two of the most choosen roles in the Army. But just keep pushing DFR because they will budge.
Just keep calling them on the up. Shows you want in. A mate who is training to be an officer was told by other officers when he was in the recruitment process that 90%% of ARA applicants are Combat Engineers and Rifleman.
I know nothing will materialise out of this thread but post ways you think the DFR could be improved. One reason of the top of my head is doing all your medical shit at one time. I had to hand in two medical reports for two different things. They knew about both but only acted on one after it became more apparent I could be getting in.
>>783 I had mine lost about 2 times and my education reports like 4 times.
>>783 I was lucky(nothing lost) but a mate had medical reports lost 3 times. If the ADF did it they would get everything done quick and orderly. None of this waiting for months.
>>785 >If the ADF did it they would get everything done quick and orderly. None of this waiting for months. fuckyeah.jpg
You know it
Yus I know it, but thread belongs on /b/ laddie.
